Well "Kick-Ass" fans, it looks like you might get to see a third and final installment in Dave Lizewski's heroic journey. "Kick-Ass" writer and co-creator Mark Millar recently told Yahoo! Movies about his plans for the foul-mouthed franchise, plans that include a natural end date.

"I'd always planned it as three books and three movies," said Millar. "I've just about finished the book. I'll be finished in about a week or two's time, and that's the end. It's weird because my agent keeps saying to me, 'We made a lot of money here, let's do 'Kick-Ass 4 and 5.'" Millar explains in the video below that to go past a third installment would betray his original plans for the character. Check out the whole interview below.

Kick-Ass

Bringing the costumed characters of "Kick-Ass 2" to life proved to be a bit more challenging than other acting gigs, as the cast had to get into the mindset of real human beings ready to dish out harsh vigilante justice—without the cushy comfort that super powers afford. There's no gamma radiation or Norse mythology in the street-level world of "Kick-Ass," just pure character and—in the case of Jim Carrey's Colonel Stars and Stripes—balls.

"[Jim Carrey] brings such enthusiasm and such great ideas [to the role]," revealed Aaron Taylor-Johnson to MTV News' Josh Horowitz. "He creates characters like that and it's incredible. You're seeing something come to life, and he creates it. It's about being ballsy and making big decisions and being bold [enough] like that to stick with it." While Carrey stuck with the character on-set, keeping the Colonel's drawl consistent in between takes, he abandoned the film and its accompanying press tour citing a change of heart.

HIt-Girl

Actors go on talk shows to promote their latest film all the time, but I assure you that Chloe Grace Moretz's "Conan" appearance from last night is much more dangerous than normal. The actress was there to promote "Kick-Ass 2," a hyper-violent action film that has definitely left the 16 year old actress with way more knowledge about fighting and handling weapons than most teens her age possess.

Case in point: a butterfly knife, or a Balisong.

Moretz busted one out at host Conan O'Brien's request during their interview, and then proceeded to wow the audience with her fancy flip work. Moretz professed to being a bit rusty with her skills but, to those of us who can barely handle butter knives with competence, she sure looked like a pro. You can check out the knife demo clip and the rest of the interview—including Moretz's story about encountering a drunk Hit-Girl fan at a Paul McCartney concert—after the jump.

Kick-Ass 2

Unlike most every other PG-13 comic book movie, "Kick-Ass 2" is gleefully R-rated for its excessive potty mouth and next-level violence. That's kind of the whole point of "Kick-Ass 2," and that accurately captures the tone of Mark Millar and John Romita Jr.'s mature readers comic book. But, as writer and director Jeff Wadlow and actor Christopher Mintz-Plasse revealed to Digital Spy in a very NSFW and spoiler/trigger-filled interview, there are some things about the comics that simply could not be put on film.

"It was just a little too much for this kind of world," said Mintz-Plasse, who plays the Mother F---er—a comic book character that perpetuates some of the most vile acts ever put on paper. "Because this still is a comic book world, and the violence is—even though it's bloody—it is over the top and cartoony in a way." Mintz-Plasse mentions that the inclusion of those particular scenes would have brought the tone down, which wouldn't have worked well when contrasted with the hyper violence and irreverent humor.

If you've seen any of the trailers for "Kick-Ass 2," then odds are you've spotted Mother Russia. I mean, it is hard to miss a 6'6" bodybuilder in a bright red bikini. The character, played by Russian bodybuilder Olga Kurkulina, is at the center of the latest two videos released as part of "Kick-Ass 2's" insane media blitz leading up to the film's August 16th release.

First up is a featurette, which has director Jeff Wadlow and creator Mark Millar discussing the work that went into bringing the powerhouse character to life on the big screen, followed up by comments from Kurkulina's cast-mates Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Chloe Grace Moretz, and Clark Duke. They all have super nice things to say about her... but then again, would you want to say anything mean about her?

If you wanted to see that bloody hand-removing Hit-Girl scene from yesterday's Red Band featurette in full context, consider your wish granted. This new clip from "Kick-Ass 2" runs Kick-Ass (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) through an undercover mission gone horribly wrong, with Hit-Girl (Chloe Moretz) coming to the rescue. The clip comes complete with all the blood splatter and rough language you've come to expect.

The fight scene is well choreographed and directed, which means that director Jeff Wadlow could be primed and ready for an even bigger comic book movie ("X-Force" anyone?). Plug in your headphones, make sure no one's looking, and check out the NSFW clip below!

"Kick-Ass 2" hits theaters on August 16th.

Take everything you know about "Kick-Ass" and double it, and then you get "Kick-Ass 2." This new Red Band featurette shows off the sequel's tougher heroes, rougher villains, fouler language, and bloodier fights in nearly three briskly paced minutes. The stakes are higher, with Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl teaming up with a group of like-minded heroes (including Jim Carrey as Colonel Stars & Stripes) and Christopher Mintz-Plasse turning the Red Mist into the Mother F---er.

The featurette includes interviews with stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Chloe Moretz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, producer Matthew Vaughn, and director Jeff Wadlow, as well as a few new clips that show off the film's killer sense of humor. Check out the video below.

Movies nowadays have to include viral marketing, as evidenced by the just launched Trask Industries website for "X-Men: Days of Future Past," and these sites and YouTube videos are usually a quick way to tell what tone a film is going for. Whereas "Days of Future Past" is going the realistic and politically conscious way, "Kick-Ass 2" is going... well, less that way.

In this new commercial for Justice Forever (Kick-Ass's supergroup), Aaron Taylor-Johnson takes on a decidedly Mister Rogers feel. This is the latest in a series of recruitment videos, all of which take on an irreverent tone perfectly in line with the "Kick-Ass" comics and first film.

You can check out the viral video below, and don't forget to take a look at a new clip from the film starring Hit-Girl after the jump!

Mintz-Plasse

by Brett White

Things have gotten a bit more intense for the Red Mist since 2010's "Kick-Ass." The arch-nemesis has gotten darker, taken on a NSFW moniker (the Mother F---er). and started throwing his money towards nefarious plans. Two new clips from "Kick-Ass 2" show actor Christopher Mintz-Plasse reveling in the role more than ever, and give us our first look at John Leguizamo as Javier, one of The Mother F---er's bodyguards.

One clip catches up with the bad guy post-crime as he concocts a surefire way to kill his do-gooder enemy Kick-Ass... and the other one shows the bad guy just coming up with a short cut. See, it's just like a super villain to take a short cut! Check out both clips below, both of which are surprisingly SFW considering pretty much everything else about this movie.
