Natalie Portman has a lot to look forward to in Kenneth Branaugh's "Thor" film, which she's scheduled to begin production on soon as Jane Foster. Anthony Hopkins, Idris Elba and Chris Hemsworth are all confirmed to be starring at her side, but Portman dropped a potential casting bombshell this weekend while promoting her new film "Brothers." "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist" star Kat Dennings may have a role in "Thor" as well.
"Well I'm really excited," Portman told MTV News. "Kat Dennings is going to be in it with me and she's a good friend and an amazing actress, so I'm looking forward to that." Read more...
In all likelihood, we're still quite a ways off from any real news regarding a third "Batman" movie from director Christopher Nolan—if he's even returning to the franchise, that is—but that's not stopping us from wondering which Dark Knight villain we should see in the inevitable sequel.
There's no shortage of rogues to choose from, but the one I think is an absolute necessity is Catwoman. Here are five actors who have been cast in live-action roles for characters originating in both the Marvel and DC Comics worlds. Read more...
Natalie Portman added a new comic book role to her work schedule today with an announcement from Marvel Studios that she will appear as Jane Foster in "Thor." "The character will be updated for the feature adaptation," Marvel Studios said in the announcement. "Portman will star opposite Chris Hemsworth who will play Thor and Tom Hiddleston who will play the villain Loki." Read more...

After a flood of recent "Thor" movie news that included a potential Josh Hartnett casting as the villain, Loki, and a reshuffled Marvel schedule that gave "Thor" a new release date, it looks like there are more changes afoot for the superhero son of Odin. Along with Alexander Skarsgård joining Hartnett in the potential "Thor" casting mix, a new name has been added to the possible list of "Thor" cast members: Natalie Portman.
"I'm told Natalie Portman is in the lead for the female lead," reports Deadline Hollywood Daily blogger Nikki Finke . Read more...
