Captain America The First AvengerPeople cool enough to get in to "Captain America: The First Avenger" on its premiere night sounded off on Twitter Tuesday. Kevin Smith and Edgar Wright spoke highly of the film, and Smith also had some praise for the "Avengers" trailer.

Mark Millar, meanwhile, had to turn down a visit to the "Avengers" set, and shared his sorrow with his followers. His reasons, an evaluation of Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man and pre-Comic-Con travel tweets await after the jump.

Glee finaleWith everyone raving about "Game of Thrones" the last few weeks, we were probably overdue for a few TV-related dislikes. This morning's reactions brought "Camelot" gripes from Ed Brubaker and Bill Willingham, as well as some dissatisfaction with the "Glee" finale from Rob Liefeld. Neil Gaiman, meanwhile, may have wished that he was watching TV; he certainly didn't sound too keen on doing a BEA signing from his home computer.

In other posting, Chip Zdarsky signed on to the hater wagon for the "Green Latern" movie. I've included some things to make you smile, too, though. Erik Larsen, for instance, shared another brilliant Spider-Man commission, and Paul Dini's costume from "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" is apparently up for sale. Find out where down below!

ThorTwitter provided a small window into the "Thor" premiere last night, thanks to some photo posts from Brian Michael Bendis and Kelly Sue DeConnick. If they make you feel left out, I suggest you redouble your efforts to become an A-list Marvel talent in time for "The Avengers," because that sounds like the best way to get a shot at being on Marvel Studios' invite list.

"The Avengers" has been generating chatter as well, both because of how "Thor" feeds into it and because there's talk that someone managed to steal a script. Jason Aaron wants to put Wolverine on the case. Find out how, as well as who's been listening to "Game of Thrones" while he works after the jump.

Pokemon Black and WhiteIf you've experienced conflict while choosing between "Pokémon Black" and "Pokémon White" recently, you are not alone. Bryan Lee O'Malley's been struggling with the decision and invoking Michael Jackson.

Meanwhile in Illinois, the death penalty is a hot topic today. Chris Burnham weighed in on how he believes the punishment should be applied. His anger, along with some rad Gabriel Hardman artwork, a story of Lent sacrifice, and info on what they talk about around the Marvel offices made the tweet highlight reel after the jump.

Diane LaneThe big casting announcement of the week thus far has been Diane Lane as Martha Kent in Zack Snyder's "Superman" reboot. Unsurprisingly, DC's big tweeters, Geoff Johns and Jim Lee came out in support of her. Mark Waid expressed a bit of anxiety, though.

Paul Dini, meanwhile, was torn over how to feel about a "Justice League Unlimited" Batman figure he discovered. His thoughts on Wonder Pig, as well as an epic tale of Craigslist quest, Mark Millar's anti-Christian Bale criticism and Bryan Lee O'Malley on creating new characters await you after the jump.

Oscar winnersThe gloves came off when Oscar tweeting began last night. Haters, lovers and Banksy supporters all responded to what was going on at Hollywood's Kodak Theatre Sunday, and in many cases their play-by-play was more entertaining that whatever was going on on-screen.

Kevin Smith, for instance described "Toy Story 3" in his own predictably provocative way, while Kirk Douglas and Trent Reznor both became big topics for other creators. Just don't bring up Gwyneth Paltrow's performance with Jason Aaron, because he clearly was not a fan. Find out who Batman backed, who Patton Oswalt compared to Charlie Sheen and what could have made the night worse down below.

Dwayne McDuffieTwo pop culture icons left their mark on Twitter yesterday. Writer Dwayne McDuffie, who will always be my favorite Deathlok scribe, and actor Nick Courtney, who endeared himself to decades of "Doctor Who" fans with his portrayal of The Brigadier, both passed away, and their importance was impossible to miss in the feed.

The fact that Grant Morrison broke Twitter silence to comment on McDuffie's death should be enough to let you know that he's going to be missed within the creative community. His contributions to the animated "All Star Superman" feature and projects like "Static Shock" and "Justice League Unlimited" will be his lasting legacy. The writers who spoke up last night captured his importance better than I can, though. Read on for their thoughts and Courtney's impact on a couple of "Doctor Who" writers.

Yogi BearWikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and the new "Yogi Bear" movie continue to be the most controversial topics in trending Twitter discussions today. Warren Ellis sounded off with his assessment of Assange yesterday, while Paul Dini offered up some advice for Yogi's animators.

"Black Swan," by contrast seems to be almost universally enjoyable, and Jon Favreau, Jim Lee and J.T. Krul all praised it with their tweets in the last 24 hours. Find out why after the jump where they've been retweeted above Phil Hester's prediction regarding Marvel's mysterious press conference that's set for tomorrow.

Ultimate Spider-ManA few months ago, word broke that a new "Ultimate Spider-Man" animated series was headed to Disney XD next year, based on veteran writer Brian Bendis' celebrated comic book series.

Attendees at this year's Comic-Con were treated to a bit more news about the project, with "Ben 10" creators Duncan Rouleau, Joe Casey, Joe Kelly, and Steven T. Seagle (collectively known as "Man of Action") joining the "Ultimate Spider-Man" animated series alongside Bendis himself.

But the news doesn't stop there, folks.

I'm excited to bring you the exclusive news that the creative team for the "Ultimate Spider-Man" animated series will also include veteran writer and producer Paul Dini, known for his work on a long list of fan-favorite projects such as "Batman: The Animated Series," "Justice League," the ABC television series "Lost," and the "Batman: Arkham Asylum" video game. Glee season finaleThe comics Twitterverse had no shortage of discussion fodder last night. "Glee" concluded its first season with a Journey medley, and Paul Dini, Rob Liefeld, Paul Southworth and Bill Amend were all on near their tweeting devices to weigh in with responses. Meanwhile online, an ambiguously released Mortal Kombat movie short appeared, which actress Jeri Ryan described on her own Twitter account as a pitch for Warner Bros. Kalman Andrasofszky and Fiona Staples seemed to be keen on it.

Elsewhere, Brian Michael Bendis went on the record about his ability to help would-be Peter Parkers get cast in the new Spider-Man movie. Find out if he can help you after the jump along with what Edgar Wright's current hairstyle looks like and what it's like on the "Cowboys and Aliens" set.
