The Amazing Spider-ManComic-Con International begins on Wednesday, so of course everyone is tweeting about upcoming comic book movie projects and conveniently leaked teasers. This means that Hollywood publicity people are doing their jobs!

The "Amazing Spider-Man" teaser that slipped out got a relatively warm reception, though P.J. Holden surely isn't the only Spidey reader suffering from origin story fatigue. The "Walking Dead" Season 2 trailer, meanwhile, didn't give anything away about what AMC's got in store, but it was fun to see. Damon Lindelof's thoughts on the show, as well as "Powers" TV info and Mark Waid's frustrations over DC rebooting Superman made the day's top retweets after the jump.

Oeming SupermanWith the Fourth of July still three days away, Canadians in the feed got a head start on expressing their patriotism this morning. The Twitter Report wishes them all a happy Canada Day and hopes they celebrate safely.

In other lively summer events, some DC Comics readers are planning to protest the company's book reboots in a few weeks at Comic-Con International in San Diego. Jimmy Palmiotti had a suggestion for them, while PJ Holden proposed an alternative strategy for DC. Check out what they said and see an awesome in-progress Superman sketch by Mike Oeming after the jump.

Uncanny X-Men cancelledEveryone who's been enjoying "Uncanny X-Men" will be in for some disappointment this October, as Marvel has announced that issue #544 will end the series. Mourners can wallow in their sorrow together watching "X-Men: First Class," I guess. But even that film received some criticism in our feed today.

You know what did get a lot of great buzz, though, last night? J.J. Abrams' "Super 8." Both Jon Favreau and Edgar Wright gave their blessings to the film. Find out why and see what Ron Marz likes about DC's massive reboot after the jump.

Jennifer GarnerComics tweeters on the east side of the Atlantic Ocean had some fun things to say about Jennifer Garner nabbing the part of Miss Marple for Disney today. The critiques haven't been nearly as harsh as the "Sucker Punch" reviews showing up, but Chris Weston thinks he might know of an appropriate candidate to play Hercule Poirot if someone gives him the reboot treatment as well.

Thoughts on Garner, Natalie Portman's stunt double in "Black Swan" and a confession from a writer who impulse bought a Nintendo 3DS await you after the jump. Click on down to find out whose side you're on and what Ben Templesmith thinks of Seattle.

Darren AronofskyDisappointment rang out on the Twitter Report's follow list yesterday after news broke Darren Aronofsky is no long directing "The Wolverine." Mark Millar has hopes for a replacement, though, and you'll definitely want to see what he had to say.

Ron Marz, meanwhile, laid out his wish for Zack Snyder's "Superman" reboot. That, as well as some reaction to the recent developments in Libya and a "Rango" evaluation await you after the jump.

Tiger BloodJ. Scott Campbell should express his feelings on current events through illustration more often. Just when you thought that new "Thundercats trailer was the greatest thing Sword of Omens-related to hit the Internet this year, Campbell made a Lion-O/Tiger Blood mashup starring Charlie Sheen.

In non-Sheen-related posting, Mark Millar's been looking at the screenplay for "Nemesis" by Matt Carnahan, and he sounds pleased. His impressions and a "Blade Runner"-oriented photo that will make you wish you were at Emerald City Comicon await after the jump.

Charlie SheenApple's second-generation iPad announcement proved to be no match for trending champion Charlie Sheen this morning, at least in the Twitter Report feed. When he speaks of "winning," I can only assume that this is part of his master plan.

Channing Tatum's plans to do a Peter Pan origin movie and spelling confusion caused by Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi's name did show up as well, though. Find out why, along who compared Charlie Sheen to some famous faces in comics and some advice to film critics from Edgar Wright, after the jump.

Natalie PortmanThe Twitter Report joins numerous other voices online today in wishing the happiest of birthdays to comics legend and Marvel movie cameo artist Stan Lee. Excitement about Lee's big day was tempered, however, by some disappointment from a few posters who learned that Natalie Portman is now pregnant and engaged to be married.

Check out the day's big retweets down below and you'll also find a few different opinions about "True Grit," a nifty action figure based on Joshua Hale Fialkov and Noel Tuazon's graphic novel "Tumor" and info on which comic book rights you should acquire if you want to get Andy Diggle to work for you for free.

Bob GuccionePenthouse founder and publisher Bob Guccione may not have been someone that comics creators talk about every day by name, but everyone seemed to know who he was this morning in the Twitter Report feed. Guccione reportedly died of cancer, as did former singer for the Slits Ari Up, who also showed up in today's posting, where they're commemorated by Ande Parks, Chris Onstad and John Allison.

On lighter notes, Apple's press conference yesterday had a lot of people speculating about the company's next operating system. At least one creator was impress by the new MacBook Airs that showed, and Mitch Breitweiser's pretty sure he's going to be able to buy a touchscreen iMac next year. Decide whose side you're on down below.
