One of the few comic book-related movies that wasn't actually based on a comic, "Push" stars Chris Evans and Dakota Fanning as characters with superpower-like abilities on the run from a mysterious organization. The film hit DVD this week, and we've got an exclusive clip from the bonus features that runs down the various classes of heroes/villains that you'll run into. Check it out below.
In "Push," Evans plays a renegade "mover" who, after encountering a runaway "watcher" (able to see glimpses of the future) played by Dakota Fanning, becomes embroiled in a plot that could change the status quo of their superpower-filled world. Camilla Belle and Djimon Hounsou also star in the film. Read more...
Summit Entertainment's superpower-savvy thriller "Push" is hitting theaters in just a few weeks, and it's no secret that we're fond of the film's comics-inspired storyline. Earlier this week, we brought you "Push" director Paul McGuigan's thoughts on casting teenage actress Dakota Fanning in a more mature role, and then we gave you the new "Push" trailer that showcases the powers and abilities you'll see in the film. This time around, we're bringing you an exclusive peek at three new images from the film, courtesy of Summit Entertainment.
In the image below, "Push" star Chris Evans' character, Nick Gant, squares off against Neil Jackson's Victor Budarin during one of the film's powered-up brawls.
Click on the image above to see more exclusive images from "Push," and be sure to keep it locked here on Splash Page for even more "Push" in the coming weeks. "Push" hits theaters February 6.

At the age of 14, Dakota Fanning is already one of Hollywood's most bankable young actors, thanks to roles in blockbusters such as "War of the Worlds" and "Charlotte's Web." However, her starring role in "Push," the upcoming, comics-inspired thriller about government-trained psychics on the run from a shadowy agency, offers up a decidedly more mature part for the teen to play.
In an interview with MTV, "Push" director Paul McGuigan said he had few doubts about Fanning's talent and her ability to play Cassie Holmes, a snarky, teenage "watcher" who can glimpse images of the future. In fact, McGuigan told MTV, he insisted on working with the actress.
"When I read the movie, the character that stood out was her character," said McGuigan. "I said to everyone, I can't do this movie unless Dakota Fanning's going to do it, because to me she was perfect for the role." Read more...

"Push," a superpower-savvy thriller starring Dakota Fanning, Camilla Belle and Chris Evans, hits theaters next month and features a wide array of characters with powers any comic book fan will appreciate. Whether it's the ability to move objects using their mind, change the shape of things they touch or even emit powerful sonic screams that can break glass and incapacitate (or kill) their targets, the cast of characters in "Push" can do things that would give the X-Men a run for their mutant money.
Last month, I spoke with "Push" director Paul McGuigan about how he approached the film's culled-from-comics premise, and while he hinted at many of the characters' abilities on display in the film, a new catalog of all the film's prominent powers has hit the 'Net. SuperheroHype has the full, flash-driven "Power Classifications" chart that not only includes brief descriptions of the powers, but also identifies which characters possess each ability. Read more...
Summit Entertainment has released a new poster for "Push," the science-fiction thriller starring Chris Evans, Dakota Fanning, Camilla Belle and Djimon Hounsou.
The brand new poster also sports a brand new tagline for the film: "One Push Can Change Everything."
In "Push," a group of former operatives from a secret government agency uncover a mystery that could rock the status quo of the "enhanced" world -- a world in which individuals are scientifically augmented with special mental abilities that include moving objects and seeing the future, among other abilities.
Paul McGuigan's new film "Push" -- starring Chris Evans, Camilla Belle and Dakota Fanning -- hits theaters in February, and even though the plot isn't pulled from the pages of a comic book, it sure feels like it is.
Starring Evans ("Fantastic Four") and Fanning ("Coraline") as a Mover and Watcher, respectively, the film is directed by "Lucky Number Slevin" filmmaker Paul McGuigan. After the jump, read what McGuigan had to say to MTV News about doing a "different" type of superhero movie and the potential for a sequel, and preview a new image from the film. Read more...
In anticipation of February 2009's super-powered action thriller, "Push," the fine folks at Wildstorm Comics have offered Splash Page an exclusive first look at the next issue of their tie-in miniseries -- a prequel story written by Marc Bernardin and Adam Freeman, with art by Bruno Redondo.
"Push" tells the story of enhanced government operatives who possess varying types of psychic powers -- from implanting thoughts and moving objects to shape-shifting and the ability to generate high-powered sonics -- and the escaped agent and teenage girl who take on the shadowy "Division" that created them. Wildstorm's six-issue prequel tells the story of a secret war between government agencies that's about to begin, fought by these enhanced soldiers.
