Upcoming projects and announcements were all the rage in the Twitter Report feed this morning. Jon Favreau got together with his "Iron Man 2" leading man Robert Downey Jr. at his office, David Finch was announced as exclusive to DC (which Rob Liefeld says will make him the star of 2010). and Brian Michael Bendis and Bryan Hitch discussed a mature "Power Pack" collaboration that is highly suspect.
Not all of the info pouring was good, though. Actually, Chuck BB's tweet about Tila Tequila had me quite baffled until I realized both that she was engaged to Casey Johnson and that Johnson was the heiress to the Johnson & Johnson fortune. Tequila's fiancée passed away Monday, as I found out during a follow-up search. Check out those retweets after the jump along with Ryan North's discovery of "Invincible," which NFL team Christos Gage is going to see this weekend, and some sternly worded advice from Karl Kerschl.

Today marks the birthday of a comics icon, and the Twitter Report joins Christos Gage, Brian Michael Bendis, Tony Lee and most of this column's follow list in wishing the Marvel Universe's lead architect a hearty excelsior as he celebrates. Birthday boy Stan Lee, meanwhile, closed his daily Twitter meditations Sunday with the realization that his leadership role on a private island country he's planning may produce conflicts of interest with his mayorship in "Marvel Super Hero Squad."
In other tweets, Kevin Smith was blown away by the new "Iron Man 2" trailer and relayed his War Machine thoughts to Jon Favreau. Check those posts out after the jump along with Jock's Batwoman and Judge Dredd-related tasks, Simon Pegg on video games and fatherhood and another "Avatar" reaction.

Gail Simone loves working on "Wonder Woman" with Nicola Scott, but she has a secret DC Universe project on her mind as well right now which she's teasing on Twitter. Neil Gaiman, meanwhile, may need glasses before he moves on to his next project, as he was found tweeting about his eyesight in the Twitter Report feed today.
Elsewhere, the holiday season has brought shopping dilemmas and snowstorms, which you can find in Stan Lee and Geoff Johns' posts. Click on past the jump and you'll find all of those tweets along with Mike Oeming's thoughts on "Hancock," Simon Pegg's photo-altering shenanigans and more.

"Alien" screenwriter Dan O'Bannon's death was the trending topic of the Twitter Report feed this morning. The writer, who also penned "The Return of the Living Dead," made his way into memorial tweets from Simon Pegg, Edgar Wright, Dave McKean and many others who took O'Bannon's contributions to sci-fi, horror and film to heart.
Elsewhere in the overlap between comics and film, Brian Michael Bendis tweeted some optimism about the film adaptation of his graphic novel "Fire," which now has a mystery actor attached. Warren Ellis accused him quickly thereafter of having had his Twitter account hacked by Mark Millar.
It's all there, along with Chris Ryall's thoughts on the IDW holiday party, Jock's gift from DC and some wisdom from Popeye the Sailor Man in the Twitter Report for December 18, 2009. Read more...
Joe Quesada didn't dish on what went on, but he did tweet that he had an all-caps "AMAZING" meeting about the script for "The First Avenger: Captain America." Kevin Smith, meanwhile, just wants to see his film "A Couple of Dicks" make it to theaters, even with a title change. He posted a status update today with some details.
In other tweets, Andy Diggle reacted to Grant Morrison's newly announced "The Return of Bruce Wayne," Rob Liefeld loved the season finale of "Glee" and Jimmy Palmiotti threw out his thoughts on Tiger Woods. Check out those posts and more after the jump.

The last 24 hours have been exciting for comics-related movie watchers on Twitter. Not only did some behind-the-scenes posts pop up from "Thor" and "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World," two of the biggest upcoming releases in the genre, but Rob Liefeld dropped an eye-opening bomb about his defunct "Badrock" film — which he says almost happened in 1996 with "Twilight Saga: New Moon" director Chris Weitz.
Aside from those tweets, there's also a pretty spectacular Terry Moore Spider-Man sketch waiting after the jump. Check that out, along with Tony Moore's answer to fanboy hate, Simon Pegg's thoughts on Scotty in "Star Trek" and a prediction for the English language from Jeffrey Rowland.

Actor Edward Woodward's death at the age of 79 prompted a string of tweets from the comics crowd this morning, many of whom are unsurprisingly fans of his TV series "The Equalizer." Simon Pegg, meanwhile, holds a special place in his heart for the 1974 movie spin-off of Woodward's series "Callan."
Elsewhere, Jon Favreau hit the editing room hard for "Iron Man 2," and had good things to post about the digital animated shots he's integrating into the film. Read what he had to say after the jump along with Fred Van Lente's hopes for the Marvel Spider-Man summit and Andy Diggle's continued observations from "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2."

Simon Pegg tweeted an impassioned appreciation for "V for Vendetta" today in honor of Guy Fawkes Day, proving that he has not forgotten the 5th November. Also not forgetting were Jill Thompson, Neil Kleid and a few other I couldn't fit in.
Jon Favreau, it seems, didn't have time to commemorate anything last night, as he was hard at work editing "Iron Man 2." If he was following Joe Quesada or Matt Fraction, however, he probably kept up on the game's details just fine. Scope out all of those posts below, along with a new Jim Lee page and Geoff Johns' mystery project that he wants to work with Greg Rucka on.

All-star chance run-ins on Twitter abounded this weekend. The first occurred when Geoff Johns and a handful of other comics notables descended on the premiere party for Adult Swim's "Titan Maximum." Lando Calrissian himself was there, and the "Blackest Night" scribe got a personal introduction. Todd Nauck was also in attendance and tweeted a link to a T-shirt design he did for the new show.
In other face-to-face encounters news, Andy Diggle and Jock concluded their "Losers" set visit (filming has now wrapped, by the way), and their flight home to the U.K. was shared with Simon Pegg. This is extra coincidental, since Diggle tweeted Jock on his flight from the U.K. to see if he was on the same flight as Pegg.

"Star Trek" cast newcomer Simon Pegg will have another established audience to please when Steven Spielberg & Peter Jackson’s "The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn" comes to theaters in 2010. Pegg appears undaunted by the skeptical mumbles he's heard, however, and left recent shots for the film impressed by the special effects process used to turn him and his fellow on-screen twin Nick Frost into nearly identical characters based on motion-capture work.
"We shot earlier this year, here in L.A.," Pegg told Collider.com. "Fascinating experience just in terms of how it worked."
The "Shaun of the Dead" star laughed off doubts he originally read about the movie and explained exactly how he and Frost became the Thomson and Thompson twins for the new film franchise based on the internationally renowned comics by Belgian creator Hergé. Read more...
