"Avengers" and webcomics fans assemble! "Ask Deadpool" creators Emily Whitten and Marc Vuletich have teamed up with MTV Splash Page for a new series of webcomics, "'Avengers' Take Hollywood." We'll be here every week with a brand new dose of Earth's most hilarious heroes until "Marvel's The Avengers" hits theaters on May 4.
Today, we present part one of the three-part series, "The Marathon Survival Kit." See, you guys aren't the only ones planning to binge on Marvel movies in the leadup to "The Avengers." The heroes themselves are making theatergoing plans of their own, and you can read all about them in this week's comic.

What if "The Avengers" weren't just superheroes... what if they were dinosaurs, too? Robert Kirkman would have some serious "Super Dinosaur" competition all of the sudden! It's kind of a ridiculous alternate reality to consider, but artist Terryl Whitlatch considered it so hard that he brought the possibilities to life faster than you can say "Meteors, Assemble!"
Get a look at Dino Cap, plus read more about Shia LaBeouf's fledgling comic book career in today's edition of Tights.
How could a movie event like the "Avengers" pass without Mondo doing some of their signature badass posters for it? Thankfully, we're not just getting one poster for Marvel's soon-to-be blockbuster. We're getting seven.
The Austin-based poster boutique has made a brand new series of posters for the big Marvel release, and the Huffington Post gave us a look at the first two, which single out the characters Black Widow and Hawkeye.

Fifteen days, "Avengers" fans! You know, not that we're counting or anything. Oh, who are we kidding? Of course, we're counting down! To help as you drudge through the long days that lie ahead before the midnight release, we have another "Avengers" interview for you: Nick Fury himself, Samuel L. Jackson!
When MTV News caught up with the actor, our correspondent mentioned to Jackson that there are a lot of people who would love to see just him in a S.H.I.E.L.D. film.
"Really?" he questioned. "Just handling it?"
The actor was surprised because he knows there are key characters necessary for any S.H.I.E.L.D. movie. "Natasha is part of S.H.I.E.L.D., Hawkeye is part of S.H.I.E.L.D., and I couldn't do a S.H.I.E.L.D. movie without those two people. They're essential elements of what's there," Jackson said.
Sorry Batman, but it's "The Avengers" that earned top billing in Fandango's "Most Anticipated Summer Movie Survey."
Survey participants pegged the upcoming Marvel ensemble superhero flick as their number one movie of the summer. Thirty-one percent of all men voting said it was the film they were most looking forward to, with 16 percent of all women feeling the same.
"The Dark Knight Rises," by comparison, earned 23 percent of the men's votes and 10 percent of the women's. It's interesting to note that "The Avengers" came in second place for women, losing to "Snow White and the Huntsman" which had 22 percent of the vote. At least Chris Hemsworth must be proud.
Good morning, Splash Page readers! Few better ways to push us through hump day than with some brand new "Avengers" photos, featuring two of Earth's mightiest heroes and one of their bosses, right? Let's get right to it!
Up first is a shot of the Iron Man armor, complete with the triangular arc reactor. With chest thrust out and eyes aglow, Tony Stark's metallic alter-ego certainly looks ready to get down to business… and as we saw in yesterday's electrifying clip, that armor is certainly well equipped to take on the godly powers of the mighty Thor.
Can't we all just get along? It seems like at least two of the Avengers can't in this new clip featuring Thor and Iron Man. The Norse demigod and the genius billionaire playboy philanthropist face off in this appropriately titled scene from "Marvel's The Avengers." (It's called "The Face Off," get it?)
There's not much context for the clip, but we don't really need much of an excuse to watch Iron Man and Thor beat the crap out of one another. Call us old fashioned though, because we prefer our Avengers as one big (mostly) happy family instead of fighting one another in the woods.
For the "Thor" and "Captain America" fans out there, you might be wondering what your favorite heroes might be up to beyond their very satisfying arcs in "Marvel's The Avengers," like the plotlines of "Thor 2" and "Captain America 2," for example.
Turns out the actors in question who play the two titular characters are wondering the same thing. When MTV News caught up with Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans at the film's press day over the weekend I asked them where we might find Thor and Cap in their respective sequels.
Oh, Loki, Loki, Loki. You're making a very desperate man out of S.H.I.E.L.D. head honcho Nick Fury. The exiled Asgardian and the eyepatch-wearing government agent are the two stars of the latest "Avengers" clip, the fifth of its kind, though they aren't the only players in the mix.
Indeed, many of Earth's mightiest heroes are on hand (from a safe distance, anyway) as Fury interrogates Loki, who has apparently been captured and placed in a S.H.I.E.L.D. holding cell. A very large holding cell, we might add, one that was probably designed for someone considerably more green. What unfolds is a tense discussion about Loki's reasons for being on Earth, and the very nature of power. These men have very different ideas about what power really is: at the very least, in Fury's eyes (or eye), power could use some reading material.
Watch the clip past the jump.
"Avengers" action figures and other assorted awesome merchandise, assemble!
Not a week goes by without something significantly amazing swinging through Splash Page headquarters, and this week's no exception. Today, courtesy of Hasbro and the fine lads at Hunter PR, we're now the proud owners of some mighty new "Avengers" toys, including a brand new set of Hulk hands and his mean green mug to match. Just look at how nicely MTV Movies editorial assistant Kevin P. Sullivan rocks the Jade Giant's stuff in the pic above!
