BadrockThe worlds of comic books and "Twilight" overlapped unexpectedly back in August when "Youngblood" director Brett Ratner mentioned a desire to see "Twilight Saga" star Robert Pattinson in the lead role for the superhero team-up movie. Now, on the eve of the "New Moon" premiere, we have another "Twilight"/"Youngblood" crossover for you.

"Youngblood" creator Rob Liefeld revealed on Twitter earlier today that "New Moon" director Chris Weitz had drafted a script in 1996 for a movie based on Badrock, one of the fan-favorite Youngblood superheroes. Describing the screenplay as a "Beavis/Butthead/South Parky take on a kid superhero," Liefeld said studio New Line balked at the film's initial budget and eventually dropped the project.

I got in touch with Liefeld to find out more info about the "Badrock" movie that never happened, how Weitz got involved and some details about the film's plot. Read more...

A few months ago, we gave you the first look at Bluewater Productions' comic book biography of "Twilight" author Stephenie Meyer. While the book arrives on shelves November 11 (just in time for "New Moon" to hit theaters), eager fans can actually check it out now—as a downloadable motion comic on iTunes and other mobile phone app stores. Check out the trailer below:

"Twilight Unbound: The Stephenie Meyer Story" will also be available in Nokia's Ovi Store and the Android Marketplace as a video download or as a packaged mobile app that contains a history of Forks, Washington (where the "Twilight" stories are set). Read more...

Where Evils DareWriter Tony Lee, who previously spoke to MTV News about his graphic-novel sequel to Bram Stoker's "Dracula," is dipping into the world of vampires once again. This time around, his new series debuts on DC's webcomic platform Zuda Comics, and he's created a trailer that should catch the attention of a certain vampire-friendly franchise's fanbase.

"Nazi Vampires Don't Sparkle," claims the YouTube trailer for "Where Evils Dare," Lee's new comic with artist Stefano Martino.

"Twilight" comparisons aside, Lee's comic promises a story that's equal parts "The Dirty Dozen" and "Van Helsing," with Allied soldiers battling Adolf Hitler's 666 Platoon—an army of "vampires, werewolves and remote-controlled zombie Nazis led by Captain Von Frankenstein and the SS Colonel Dracula." Female Force: Stephenie MeyerLast week, we gave you the first look inside "Female Force: Stephenie Meyer," the comic book biography of "Twilight" author Stephenie Meyer. Now, we have another exclusive peek at the comic—but this time, we're bringing you a brand new cover image.

Back when the project was first announced, we told you that publisher Bluewater Productions was planning to release it in two versions: a standard-size comic and a limited-edition, 32-page version featuring an illustrated history of Forks, Washington, the town where "Twilight" takes place. Now, to go along with their special cover only available at Forks retailer Dazzled By Twilight, Bluewater has told MTV News that another Forks-based shop, 98331 Gear, will be carrying the book—complete with a brand new cover exclusive to that shop.

Read on for your first peek at the new "Female Force: Stephenie Meyer" cover created by artist Matt Bellisle and exclusive to 98331 Gear, as well as more info about the book. Read more...

Last month, we told you about the upcoming biography comic book about "Twilight" author Stephenie Meyer. Timed to hit shelves in November (right alongside the next film in the franchise, "New Moon"), "Female Force: Stephenie Meyer" arrives in two formats: a standard comic and a limited-run, 32-page version featuring an illustrated history of Forks (the town where "Twilight" takes place) and an alternate, Stephenie Meyer cover that we debuted exclusively on Splash Page.

Now, courtesy of the crew at Bluewater Productions, we have an exclusive, five-page preview of "Female Force: Stephenie Meyer"—as well as a two-page preview of the "History of Forks" story found in the special, extended edition of the comic. (Click on the image below to check out the full preview.)

Stephenie Meyer

"Female Force: Stephenie Meyer" is written by Ryan Burton, with art by Dave Macneil and Vinnie Tartamella. The comic book arrives on shelves November 11, and according to Bluewater, fans will be able to find it in comic shops, as well as Barnes & Noble stores.

Stephenie Meyer - TwilightEarlier this month, I told you about the upcoming comic book biography of "Twilight" author Stephenie Meyer hitting shelves in November—timed to coincide with the premiere of "New Moon" in theaters, in fact.

The latest in Bluewater Productions' line of "Female Force" comics, the Meyer bio will hit shelves in both a standard-size issue and a limited-run, 32-page version featuring a custom, alternate cover debuting exclusively here on Splash Page!

If you're already planning to pick this one up, keep in mind that you won't be able to order the limited-edition "Female Force: Stephenie Meyer" issue at your local comic shop. The limited-edition format will only be available via Dazzled By Twilight, a retailer in Forks, Washington (the real-life town where "Twilight" is set—but you already knew that). Don't worry, though, fans who can't make the pilgrimage to Forks can order the comic online, as well as a poster-sized print of the cover. Read more...

Robert PattinsonRobert Pattinson and his brooding "Twilight" alter ego might not be the first things that come to mind when contemplating the casting for Brett Ratner's upcoming, big-screen adaptation of the superhero series "Youngblood," but that's exactly whose name the filmmaker dropped when asked if he had any actors in mind.

"Definitely [Robert Pattinson] from 'Twilight,'" Ratner told MTV News when asked if he has his eye on any potential "Youngblood" actors at this point. "He just feels like he belongs in that world. I don't only see him as a vampire, he's a really good actor."

Given the roster of the comic book's team, Pattinson's leading-man resume and Ratner's previous comments about the "Youngblood" storyline, it's not too difficult to guess which role Ratner has in mind for the "Twilight" star. Read more...

Stephenie MeyerLast month we told you about the upcoming "Twilight" manga, and now it looks like the massively popular series is making another splash in the comics world with an upcoming single-issue comic about "Twilight" author Stephenie Meyer.

The next woman to be featured in Bluewater Productions' popular line of "Female Force" biography comics, Meyer will join an impressive group that's included First Lady Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Hillary Clinton, Sarah Palin and Princess Diana.

Written by Ryan Burton with art by Dave Macneil and Vinnie Tartamella, the comic promises to examine Meyer's rise to fame as an author, the "Twilight" phenomenon in print and film, and where Meyer plans to take the franchise. And "Twilight" fans take note: Burton has promised that "a very recognizable and iconic vampire" will narrate the issue. Read more...

"Twilight" is coming to officially coming to comics, and seeing as how comic book creations like Iron Man and the X-Men helped inspire author Stephenie Meyer to write "Twilight" in the first place, that shouldn't surprise anyone. Though movie fans won't be seeing photo-realistic versions of Meyer's characters straight off the big screen, certain features unique to "Twilight" and "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" actors such as Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will influence the artistic rendering by Korean artist Young Kim.

Twilight Manga

Both Meyer's original descriptions and characterizations and the actors' likenesses will influence the graphic novel's look, according to EW.com. The article states that Meyer will oversee every panel of the new project. Read more...

Last week, reports surfaced that "Twilight" star Cam Gigandet would be playing a vampire on screen again in a live-action adaptation of "Priest," a popular manga series published by TokyoPop.

But hold the phone, "Twilight" fans, it appears that tales of his blood-sucking role have been greatly exaggerated. During a press event for his upcoming film "The Roommate," the actor said there's been a slight misunderstanding when it comes to his "Priest" character.

"I think there was some miscommunication that I was a vampire," Gigandet told MTV News, "but that's not the case. I'm not a vampire." Read more...
