By now you're probably well aware of the fondness we have for M. Night Shyamalan's "Unbreakable," one of the first truly dark superhero films of the decade.

We've pestered the director and cast about a potential sequel for years now, and during last weekend's New York Comic Con, MTV News brought Shyamalan into town for a look back on the film 10 years after it first hit theaters. At the event, we gave away a bunch of autographed posters, copies of the movie, and various other promo items at the panel, but look what arrived this week:

Yes, we have even more "Unbreakable" stuff to give away β€” including tickets to next week's screening of "Unbreakable" at the Philadelphia Film Festival! Read More...

During last weekend's New York Comic Con, MTV News hosted an event that took a look back at one of the first dark superhero films of the decade: M. Night Shyamalan's "Unbreakable."

It's no secret that the 2000 film is a favorite of ours around Splash Page HQ, as we've managed to pester just about everyone involved with the first movie at one point or another about the possibility of seeing "Unbreakable 2." Heck, we admit it: we're unapologetic fans when it comes to "Unbreakable" β€” and never was that more on display than during Sunday's "Unbreakable: Ten Years Later" panel, in which MTV News discussed all things "Unbreakable" with the filmmaker himself.

We've selected some of the highlights from the 60-minute panel and posted them below, but if you're as big a fan of "Unbreakable" as we are, you'll want to keep an eye on Splash Page over the next few days for a very cool giveaway! Read More...

We here at Splash Page and the greater MTV community have long advocated for a sequel to "Unbreakable," director M. Night Shyamalan's 2000 feature film about a man who learns that he's super strong and practically invulnerable. But while we have always been big fans of the comic book inspired movie, it wasn't always a well-received work.

"It was initially hating," Shyamalan told MTV News about the initial reaction to the film. "If we were hanging out back then, you would have heard people saying 'Unbreakable' sucks. You'd hear them openly going at me about it." Read More...

UnbreakableAnyone who's been reading Splash Page for a while knows that we have an unhealthy obsession with "Unbreakable," director M. Night Shyamalan's dark superhero tale that first hit theaters in 2000.

After pestering him about a potential sequel for years (and recently discovering that we might actually see it β€” just not as "Unbreakable 2"), we're making our collective love for the film official with a special 10th Anniversary panel during New York Comic Con attended by Shyamalan himself!

"MTV Presents 'Unbreakable: Ten Years Later' With M. Night Shyamalan" will be held Sunday, October 10, at 12:45 PM in the IGN Theater. Read More...

Bruce Willis is up for an "Unbreakable" sequel. He says that M. Night Shyamalan is still thinking about it, as the filmmaker has told MTV News in the past. Even Samuel L. Jackson is interested in the project. With all three central forces seemingly on board, could "Unbreakable 2" be far off?

Both Jackson and Willis have spoken about Shyamalan's plans for the second "Unbreakable" installment, which would focus on the continued and increasingly violent conflict between their characters of Elijah "Mr. Glass" Price and David Dunn, the unbreakable man. Assuming that story is still in place, here are a few other suggestions for where the "Unbreakable" franchise should go. Read More...

M. Night ShyamalanOn the surface, it might look like M. Night Shyamalan has moved on from "Unbreakable," the director's fourth feature film. After all, he's already hip-deep in production on "The Last Airbender," his adaptation of the popular animated series -- does he really have enough room in his geek bone to revisit the moody superhero film?

During a recent press event, Shyamalan addressed that very question as put forth by MTV News -- is he still considering "Unbreakable 2"? According to the director, that answer is a resounding yes. Read More...

M. Night ShyamalanAs reported last month, recently we spoke to "Unbreakable" writer/director M. Night Shyamalan and one of the stars of the film, Samuel L. Jackson, about the possibility of a sequel to their years-before-its-time superhero movie. Well, it seems as if that sequel talk has become a popular topic of conversation with Shyamalan, as he offered up a few more thoughts about the notion of "Unbreakable 2” during a conference call regarding this week's release of "The Happening."

"I want to write it right now, but I want to write it for the right reasons," Shyamalan told reporters. "I want a story to pop into my head that is organic and expressive of who I am. You know, these are all kind of journals of where I am emotionally, so it's kind of hard. I'm kind of trying to go back to the journal that existed in 1999 for me. But I know me: As soon as I give up on it is when the idea will come to me." Read More...

'Unbreakable'Love his work or hate it, there's no denying that M. Night Shyamalan always seems to be one step ahead of the curve with his films -- from the twist no one saw coming in "The Sixth Sense," to finding new ways to scare the crap outta moviegoers with "Signs" and "The Village." And he was even years ahead of the current comic book movie boom (for better and for worse) when "Unbreakable" hit theaters in 2000.

So that being said, is it time for Shyamalan to take a step back for a change and revisit his superhero/supervillain film with a sequel, given the rampant popularity of the superhero genre?

"I tell you I get asked about it all the time, so it’s not [an idea] I ever forget," Shyamalan told MTV News. "I genuinely just asked this question the other day -- should I make 'Unbreakable 2’?"

If Shyamalan does indeed decide to revisit "Unbreakable," he'll have at least one of the original film's stars ready and willing to join up -- Samuel L. Jackson, who played the very-breakable villain, Elijah Price, in the movie. Read More...
