Bruce Willis isn't unfamiliar with the comic book and superhero genres, having previously starred in adaptations of "Sin City" and "Surrogates." He's set to voyage further into the medium with "Red" this coming weekend, but the ride won't stop there -- if rumors are to be believed, at least.

This past summer, a rumor floated around that Willis might be up for the part of Ben "The Thing" Grimm in 20th Century Fox's reboot of the "Fantastic Four" franchise. When MTV News spoke with Willis at a recent press junket for "Red," Willis identified the rumor as exactly that — a rumor — but it's a rumor that he just so happens to like.

"It's a rumor, but I love rumors," said Willis. "I haven't gotten that call yet. It's a good rumor, though. I like that film. It's a good comic, as well." Read More...

UnbreakableAnyone who's been reading Splash Page for a while knows that we have an unhealthy obsession with "Unbreakable," director M. Night Shyamalan's dark superhero tale that first hit theaters in 2000.

After pestering him about a potential sequel for years (and recently discovering that we might actually see it — just not as "Unbreakable 2"), we're making our collective love for the film official with a special 10th Anniversary panel during New York Comic Con attended by Shyamalan himself!

"MTV Presents 'Unbreakable: Ten Years Later' With M. Night Shyamalan" will be held Sunday, October 10, at 12:45 PM in the IGN Theater. Read More...

So MTV Movies' Joshua Horowitz and I both get a lot of flak for our love of M. Night Shyamalan's dark superhero movie "Unbreakable," but that hasn't stopped us from pestering the filmmaker about a potential sequel every time we have the chance.

Back in June during "The Last Airbender" press junket, the filmmaker told me he was searching for "the right story" for "Unbreakable 2." Now, promoting the first of his "Night Chronicles" film series, "Devil," Shyamalan once again fielded the question — and revealed that his "Unbreakable 2" story will indeed hit the big screen, but as a completely different film.

"I cannibalized the idea for the sequel to 'Unbreakable' for one of the 'Night Chronicles,'" revealed Shyamalan. Read More...

David Dunn may be unbreakable, but our fragile fanboy hearts are not. "Unbreakable" fans across the globe have long suffered waiting for news about a possible sequel to the 2000 superhero film. Recently, excitement built up to a fever pitch when it was revealed that M. Night Shyamalan will reunite with Bruce Willis for an unknown project.

But that project isn't "Unbreakable 2," sadly. In fact, it doesn't sound like an "Unbreakable" sequel is in the cards for the immediate future.

MTV News caught up with Shyamalan during a press junket for "The Last Airbender" and asked the filmmaker if he's given any further thought to continuing the tale of the unbreakable David Dunn. Shyamalan said he's not closed off to the idea of a sequel, but it's all a matter of finding the right story. Read More...

Bruce Willis is up for an "Unbreakable" sequel. He says that M. Night Shyamalan is still thinking about it, as the filmmaker has told MTV News in the past. Even Samuel L. Jackson is interested in the project. With all three central forces seemingly on board, could "Unbreakable 2" be far off?

Both Jackson and Willis have spoken about Shyamalan's plans for the second "Unbreakable" installment, which would focus on the continued and increasingly violent conflict between their characters of Elijah "Mr. Glass" Price and David Dunn, the unbreakable man. Assuming that story is still in place, here are a few other suggestions for where the "Unbreakable" franchise should go. Read More...

Confession time, folks: There are a few of us around Splash Page HQ who are big fans of M. Night Shyamalan's dark superhero tale "Unbreakable" — so we can't help bringing up the possibility of a sequel every time we talk to the filmmaker or one of the film's cast. Back in June 2009, Shyamalan told us that he still had plans for a sequel, so when we caught up with actor Bruce Willis during this weekend's "Cop Out" junket, we had to get his take on whether we'll ever see "Unbreakable 2."

"I talked to [Shyamalan] over the holidays, and he is still thinking about doing the fight movie between me and Sam that we were going to do," Willis told MTV News. Read More...

M. Night ShyamalanOn the surface, it might look like M. Night Shyamalan has moved on from "Unbreakable," the director's fourth feature film. After all, he's already hip-deep in production on "The Last Airbender," his adaptation of the popular animated series -- does he really have enough room in his geek bone to revisit the moody superhero film?

During a recent press event, Shyamalan addressed that very question as put forth by MTV News -- is he still considering "Unbreakable 2"? According to the director, that answer is a resounding yes. Read More...
