'Van Wilder' & 'Wild Hogs' Director Walt Becker Makes Comics Debut With 'Last Reign: Kings Of War'

'Last Reign'From Ryan Reynolds cracking wise to futuristic knights slashing monsters, “Van Wilder” and “Wild Hogs” director Walt Becker ventures into new territory with “Last Reign: Kings of War” this October through BOOM! Studios.

Kicking off on October 29, the four-issue miniseries, created by Becker and co-written by Michael Allen Nelson, takes place in a bleak, war-torn future where the armored rulers of Earth’s eight kingdoms unite against the orchestrator of the apocalypse for the future of mankind.

“I was searching for a completely new universe, and the idea that feudalism would rise again on Earth after the apocalypse seemed entirely plausible and fresh,” explained Becker. “It allowed me to combine two of my favorite genre -- sci-fi, and stories of the most celebrated warriors on Earth, armored knights.” Read more...
