Harry PotterDC Comics isn't just trying to reach out to new readers in comics shops this year. The new trailer for their company-wide "New 52" reboot is going to be shown on TV and in movie theaters in order to appeal to wider masses. That strategy received some support in the Twitter-stream last night, though J.M. DeMatteis thought it looked dark, and Gail Simone called for rougher language.

It was a good night for sketches, too, as Phil Jimenez posted a Wonder Woman piece he made, and Cameron Stewart gave Batman a go using an iPad. Gaze upon their art and learn a thing or two about being British from Warren Ellis after the jump.

Captain AmericaAs excited as many Mac users were for the arrival of OS X Lion last week, "Plants vs. Zombies" lovers got a rude awakening if they tried running the game on their new operating system. John Layman, for one, called out with a Darth Vaderian parade of exclamation points when he saw an error message stating that the game is incompatible with Lion.

Game of ThronesPrimetime Emmy Award nominations were announced this morning, and "Game of Thrones" fans in the feed saw a few reasons to get excited, including a Best Drama nod and a Best Supporting Actor nomination for Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister. C.B. Cebulski and Brian Reed were both behind him, while Ryan North got all pumped for "Adventure Time."

You can bet that "Game of Thrones" will be a hot topic at Comic-Con International in San Diego next week. Joe Kelly and Brian Michael Bendis both had the show on their minds and shared some advice for everyone else who plans on attending. Michael IronsideI don't know if Kitty Pryde's dad's mustache will be showing up in "X-Men: First Class," but Rick Remender definitely thinks it should have some more exposure in the comics. The Twitter stream oozed with recommendations this morning as he stated his intent to bring back the 'stache and Chris Weston explained what a great Punisher he thinks Michael Ironside would make.

Julie TaymorThe iPad 2 won't go on sale until Friday, but Edgar Wright thinks he may have a long shot at snagging a free one, and he's not too proud to publicly tweet about it. Whether or not "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" earns him a new Apple tablet, it did receive a big compliment from Mike Allred yesterday, even as Bryan Lee O'Malley was joking around about Vol. 7 titles.

Will EisnerTwitter-watching during convention weekends can be a rewarding endeavor, especially when Adam Hughes draws the White Queen and posts photographic evidence. Hughes and Yildiray Cinar both shared some artwork last night, just as reactions to Gary Busey on "Celebrity Apprentice" began rolling in.

WitchbladeBrits and Americans alike expressed discontent with the announcement today that Russia will host the 2018 World Cup and Qatar would get the next one in 2022.
