Alan MooreThe writer of "Watchmen" and "V for Vendetta" might not be on Twitter, but Twitter knows that it's his birthday today. Warren Ellis, Neil Gaiman and loads of other comickers tweeted well-wishing out to Alan Moore (even though he doesn't have his own account... that we know of).

Back in New York, Marvel's Spider-Man summit appears to have subsided, and Victor Gischler inquired about a hypothetical Deadpool summit, which Fred Van Lente in turn discussed with him. After the jump, you can read my little Twitter mixtape about what they had to say, along with Mark Waid's reaction to the latest "Doctor Who" special and Jimmy Palmiotti's thoughts on Johnny Depp in Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland."

Global FrequencyWarren Ellis' "Global Frequency" is making another run at the small screen, as The CW Network is allegedly trying to adapt the comic book series once again.

According to Production Weekly's Twitter feed, a second adaptation of "Global Frequency" is in the works courtesy of The CW and writer Scott Nimerfro. The news was further touched upon by Ellis himself, who wrote on his personal website that he hadn't "been cleared to comment yet" by the network.

Iron Man 2Actor Edward Woodward's death at the age of 79 prompted a string of tweets from the comics crowd this morning, many of whom are unsurprisingly fans of his TV series "The Equalizer." Simon Pegg, meanwhile, holds a special place in his heart for the 1974 movie spin-off of Woodward's series "Callan."

Elsewhere, Jon Favreau hit the editing room hard for "Iron Man 2," and had good things to post about the digital animated shots he's integrating into the film. Read what he had to say after the jump along with Fred Van Lente's hopes for the Marvel Spider-Man summit and Andy Diggle's continued observations from "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2."

Dollhouse - TwitterNow that Joss Whedon's "Dollhouse" has been cancelled on FOX, expect to see a lot more more tweets over the next few days from the comics Twitterverse. Paul Cornell was among those mourning the show's loss today and had some advice for Whedon.

FreakAngelsSince his comic book debut in 1990, Warren Ellis has been one of the most prolific writers in the comic industry with dozens of original creations in addition to several books for Marvel and DC.

Following the recent announcement that “Black Summer” was optioned by Vigilante Entertainment in addition to the upcoming film adaptations of his “Red” and “Gravel” series, it seems clear that Ellis has become an in-demand comic creator in Hollywood.

Jim Lee - TwitterNASA's controlled "bombing" of the moon had comics creators talking on Twitter today. It turns out a lot of them are interested in that kind of stuff, with Paul Pope, Matt Fraction and many others weighing in on the planned moon crash earlier today.

And while we're on the subject of projects that took a great deal of planning, check out the TwitPic Jim Lee posted of artwork he and the WildStorm team put together for departing DC Comics head Paul Levitz. There's a lot of love in that picture. But before you see that, click on down to read a few reaction to U.S. President Barack Obama's Nobel Peace Prize that was announced this morning, as well as Stan Lee's lunch game plan and pictures from Marvel's bowling fundraiser last night.
